AN OUTSTANDING NEW BLOG
Dissenta's blog has only just come to my attention.
It is simply awesome - I love it.
"ALL HANDS:"
"Welcome aboard Public Comment. This is a humble web journal begun in late summer 2010 as a place to park essays, posts, photos and videos on issues of the day and especially public comments such as to the EPA and other forums."
"INAUGURAL ESSAY"
"Fracturing the Talking Points
"Welcome to Public Comment, a site that champions the public interest as opposed to private/corporate interests. We need both, but these days they're out of balance."Our first post addresses the PR surrounding the headlong push to develop shale gas like there's no tomorrow, contrary to stewardship of the "public estate" described in the PA Constitution, Section 27, known as the Environmental Rights Amendment (see right column in green text), which speaks of the physical environment of the state of Pennsylvania, "Penn's Woods," as an asset belonging to the public. There is private property, to be sure, but there is also a shared moral responsibility to preserve all the public estate of Pennsylvania for current and future generations, to be stewards -- caretaking servants -- of the land, public and private. The commons."
Besides having a great name, Dissenta explores important perspectives too often ignored.
His blog is special and will be of great value.

ReplyDeleteJust discovered "Fracked" and blown away by your superb quality, insight and sassiness (a good thing), not to mention the jaw-dropping photography. Added your site to PC's blogroll. Thanks for the kudos but can't hold a candle to you, Fracked!

(Time stamp says "3:28 am" but must be West Coast time as it's 6:28 am where I live)
Never give up! Proud to be alongside you fighting the good fight!
